Plantopia band members have been recording and mastering their new album in Melbourne, Australia. The band are currently compiling the song order and artwork for a 2025 release of the new record and new music.

To date, a series of single song releases have been released and uploaded to the band's digital presence, being Bandcamp, You Tube and Instagram. Three visualiser videos are available to view on You Tube. The new song releases have been accompanied by digital snapshots of the band recording new music at Hothouse Audio in Melbourne.

The new music releases are accompanied by lyric visualiser videos which are available from our YouTube Channel.

The most recent release is Maryanne, a song recounting the trials and tribulations of a woman in turmoil who continues to make decisions which are dubious. Maryanne is the latest release and follows three previous releases from Melbourne band Plantopia

Heavy Weather. Release Date: 16 March 2025

Melbourne band Plantopia release their latest single, Heavy Weather. Big House. Release Date: 21 January 2025

Big House is a big tune with the band members delivering solid performances in the Hothouse studio in Melbourne's St. Kilda. Featuring the even bigger vocals of Adam Kovarik along with a sublime Sax solo from Melbourne musician Christian Foyle, the song builds to an almighty crescendo outro.

She Said. Release Date: 11 September 2024

She Said marks the first release for Melbourne band Plantopia with a new band member. Synth player Glenn Millen joins the band for the She Said recordings, bringing synth and keyboard tones. The song release from this eclectic Australian band features a video created with basic AI tools utilising a series of original images taken in Venice, Italy in the depths of the quiet winter months.

Melbourne Band Plantopia Release Their First Music Album named Kaleidoscope

Plantopia released the album named Kaleidoscope in early 2023, being the Melbourne band's first major music release in Australia. The Kaleidoscope album features many well respected Melbourne musicians and vocalists who front some of the most iconic bands in Australia. With the band ethos of open writing sessions covering all manner of musical styles, Plantopia delivered an opening album of well-crafted songs with their Kaleidoscope album.

Described as a cross-over indie band in Melbourne by several music press agents, Plantopia core band members believe their no-plan approach to writing, recording and producing music is key to positive musical expression.

The Kaleidoscope album contains sixteen songs and taps into genres of music from the 1970s through to the present, all written and recorded at the iconic Hothouse Audio recording studio in St. Kilda.
